Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hansen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by AC/DC - Big Gun. Tim Hansen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
24 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Lyoto Parks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Hansen!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parks cracks Hansen with a right hand to the side of the head.
Hansen throws a leg kick but Parks checks it.
Hansen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hansen slips under a jab.
A punch combination from Hansen misses.
Parks was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Hansen misses with a leg kick
and Parks counters with a stiff right hand.
Hansen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Lyoto Parks has been cut.
Parks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hansen.
Hansen misses with a body kick.
Hansen looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Hansen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hansen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Parks pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Parks misses the jab.
Hansen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Parks counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hansen jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hansen feints a jab promting Parks to slip. Hansen then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Parks slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Parks takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Parks connects with a jab.
Hansen tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hansen throws a front kick aimed at Parks's knee but Parks avoids it well.
Hansen misses with a combination
and Parks counters with a crisp right that sends Hansen to the canvas! Parks follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyoto Parks!
Lyoto Parks decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
