Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenalemodisa Mabogo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Vizcarra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mabogo comes to the cage accompanied by 3 Doors Down - Duck and Run. Norman Vizcarra told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kenalemodisa Mabogo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Norman Vizcarra! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mabogo takes a swing at Vizcarra's ribcage but misses. Vizcarra let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Vizcarra fails to land with a series of punches.
Mabogo throwing a counter right hand but Vizcarra manages to avoid it. Mabogo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Vizcarra misses the shot to the body. Mabogo connects with a body shot. Mabogo swings for the body but Vizcarra moves out of range.
Mabogo moves out of range as Vizcarra throws a body kick.
We've been hearing reports that Mabogo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Mabogo misses with a straight right. A slapping leg kick lands for Vizcarra.
Vizcarra takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Norman Vizcarra has been cut. Mabogo tried to score with a low kick but Vizcarra checks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mabogo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mabogo throws a right and a left that Vizcarra avoids nicely. Vizcarra swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. A solid body kick from Mabogo. Mabogo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Vizcarra under the eye. This has been an exciting period of action! Mabogo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mabogo looks to land a combination but Vizcarra avoids it well. Nice combo by Mabogo! Oh, that's hurt him - Vizcarra falls to the canvas and Mabogo follows him into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mabogo taking a breather here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vizcarra tries to bench press Mabogo off him but Mabogo keeps the position. Mabogo controls the position. Vizcarra tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mabogo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mabogo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Mabogo continues to stall. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mabogo working the ground and pound from side control. Mabogo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mabogo working the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mabogo controls the position. Vizcarra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mabogo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mabogo moves into full mount! Mabogo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vizcarra looks a forlorn figure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mabogo looking for a guillotine from mount but Vizcarra is having none of it. Mabogo controlling the pace for now. Mabogo working for a submission but Vizcarra is keeping him at bay. Vizcarra has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Mabogo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mabogo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Mabogo with shots to the head and body - Vizcarra looks very uncomfortable down there. Mabogo controlling from mount. This is a sustained period of stalling by Mabogo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mabogo cracks Vizcarra with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mabogo swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kenalemodisa Mabogo! After the fight, Kenalemodisa Mabogo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
