Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Acosta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxim Warfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Acosta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maxim Warfield!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Acosta swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Warfield shoots in looking for a takedown. Acosta tries to sprawl out of it but Warfield keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Acosta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Acosta feinted with a counter takedown.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Acosta enables Warfield to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Acosta manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Acosta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Acosta wants to get back to his feet but Warfield is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Acosta can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Warfield controls the pace.
Acosta pulls Warfield in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Warfield drops down looking for an ankle pick but Acosta pulls his leg out and moves away.
Acosta is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Warfield drives through with a takedown into Acosta's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Acosta is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As Acosta backs off Warfield throws a huge counter combo but Acosta manages to avoid it all.

Acosta is trying to maintain a safe position but Warfield gets an underhook and turns Acosta into the cage.

Warfield gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Acosta regains guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Warfield stays in close to Acosta's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Warfield swats away the attempt to clinch by Acosta.
Acosta throws a body shot but no joy.
Warfield let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Acosta misses with a head kick.

Warfield shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Acosta is trying to defend but Warfield finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A close second round but Maxim Warfield will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Warfield looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Acosta is defending well. Warfield quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Acosta has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Warfield celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
