Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Fayth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joeli Babitu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Fayth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joeli Babitu!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fayth looks to land a left hand but Babitu moved out of range nicely.

and Fayth connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fayth moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Babitu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fayth manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Babitu tries to bum rush Fayth with a series of wild strikes but Fayth uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Babitu throws a leg kick which misses Fayth's front leg but catches the back leg as Fayth tries to avoid it.
Fayth throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Babitu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Joeli Babitu will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Fayth changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Babitu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Joeli Babitu decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
