Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nataniel Byczynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Byczynski might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to War is My Destiny. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
45 - 45 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nataniel Byczynski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Hendricks! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendricks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Byczynski moves out of range as Hendricks strikes. Hendricks moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Hendricks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Hendricks scores with a head kick.
It looks like Nataniel Byczynski has been cut. Nice body kick from Hendricks. Byczynski wants to clinch up but Hendricks keeps it at a distance. Byczynski walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Hendricks darts in and clinches Byczynski up against the cage. Byczynski creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hendricks's defenses.
It looks like Tony Hendricks has been cut. Byczynski stalling.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hendricks lands a body shot. Hendricks fails to pull guard.
Byczynski throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hendrickss head. Hendricks is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Byczynski is defending well for now. Hendricks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Byczynski blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Byczynski lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hendricks backwards. Hendricks blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Byczynski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Byczynski is pushing Hendricks up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Hendricks blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hendricks is working for takedown but Byczynski is calmly controlling the position for now. Nataniel Byczynski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Hendricks. Hendricks misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Byczynski.
Hendricks is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Byczynski to keep the fight standing. Hendricks has clasped his hands together around Byczynski's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hendricks scoring with punches from side control. That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Byczynski is trying to control Hendricks's posture but Hendricks avoids it. Byczynski is looking for a sweep. Hendricks is trying to ground and pound but Byczynski uses the momentary lack of control by Hendricks to regain half guard. Byczynski avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hendricks. Ground and pound from Hendricks. Hendricks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Byczynski keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hendricks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Byczynski's head. Byczynski wants to control but Hendricks is keeping busy.

Hendricks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hendricks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Byczynski is just riding it out for now. Hendricks eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hendricks tries to pass the half guard into mount. Byczynski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Hendricks looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Byczynski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hendricks is working for a kimura but Byczynski is defending it quite comfortably.

Tony Hendricks dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hendricks fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Byczynski. Hendricks is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hendricks throws a jab when Byczynski was well out of range. Byczynski went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Hendricks throws a lazy right hand but Byczynski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A counter left hand to the body from Byczynski misses its target. Hendricks checks a low kick from Byczynski. Byczynski backing away here, and Hendricks unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Hendricks checks a leg kick. Byczynski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hendricks. Hendricks slips a straight right by Byczynski. Hendricks is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hendricks thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Byczynski if he has to take too many more of those.

A low kick from Byczynski is predictable there and Byczynski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Byczynski drops his hands momentarily and Hendricks takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Byczynski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hendricks scores with a jab. Byczynski acknowledges it with a nod of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Byczynski gets tackled into the cage by Hendricks. Hendricks maintains the clinch. Byczynski lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hendricks tries to score a body lock takedown but Byczynski shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Byczynski misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hendricks.

Hendricks has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hendricks looks to throw an elbow but misses. Byczynski tries to land a knee to the head but Hendricks blocks with his arms.

and Hendricks counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hendricks clinches up with Byczynski and pushes him back against the cage. Byczynski avoids a wild elbow strike from Hendricks. Still in the clinch, Byczynski scores with a nice short uppercut. Byczynski drops Hendricks onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Hendricks is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Hendricks is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Byczynski creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hendricks's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hendricks drops to his knees and Byczynski pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
