The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uvol scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Wilson wants to stand back up but Uvol manages to pass into side control.
Uvol tries to advance to mount but can't.

A lull in the action here as Uvol stalls from top position.
Wilson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Uvol is controlling him well.
Uvol lands some shots froms side control.
It looks like Piolet Wilson has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Uvol throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Uvol thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Uvol lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That has opened up Piolet Wilson's cut even more.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wilson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wilson is not content to let Uvol control the position.
Uvol in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Uvol sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Wilson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Uvol tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Wilson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Uvol has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wilson's face.
The cut above Piolet Wilson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Piolet Wilson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
