The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lewis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lewis lands a nice shot that snaps Minasian's head back.
It looks like Arthur Minasian has been cut.
Minasian looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

letting Minasian counter with a right hand.
Lewis misses with an uppercut
and Minasian counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
John Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lewis shoots for a double leg takedown but Minasian sprawls well. He's pushed Lewis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lewis dives in for a single leg takedown but Minasian sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Lewis moves in looking to clinch but Minasian pushes him off.

Minasian seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Minasian lands a lovely overhand right.
Minasian cracks Lewis with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lewis tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Minasian pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lewis is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
