Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sven Gerber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gerber kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rammstein - Sonne. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sven Gerber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roy Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer throws a solid leg kick but Gerber takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Palmer.
A quick step to the side and Gerber tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Palmer. Gerber does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gerber connects with a single shot there.
Palmer lands a nice hook to Gerber's body. Gerber takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nice straight punches there by Gerber. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gerber.
Gerber has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Apex in the buildup to the fight.
Gerber takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Sven Gerber has been cut.
Gerber fails with the takedown
and Palmer counters with a stiff right hand.
Gerber misses with a wild body shot.
Palmer appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Palmer throws a leg kick that is checked
and Gerber counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Palmer ducks under a wild hook from Gerber.
Palmer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Palmer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gerber.
Gerber scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gerber closes the distance and clinches up with Palmer, looking for a takedown. Gerber pushes Palmer against the cage but Palmer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gerber shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sven Gerber. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gerber fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Palmer manages to avoid it.

Palmer sends Gerber crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Palmer is motioning to the referee to let Gerber up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Gerber is rocked!
Palmer lands a nice hook to Gerber's body. Gerber takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Oh Gerber is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gerber is breathing heavily.
A shot to the body from Gerber misses
and Palmer rattles Gerber with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Gerber tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Palmer dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Gerber stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Roy Palmer!
After winning the bout, Roy Palmer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
