The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moseby throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Meroni.
A left and a right from Moseby both land. Nice combination.
Moseby swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Moseby misses with a few strikes there.
Meroni gets a takedown into half guard.
Meroni passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Moseby!
Meroni controlling his opponent.
Moseby tries to buck Meroni off but Meroni takes his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moseby looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Meroni cracks Moseby with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Moseby from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Meroni is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Moseby is trying to get back to his feet but Meroni has full control of the position and if anything, Moseby has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Meroni is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Moseby wants to get back to his feet.
Moseby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Meroni. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Meroni throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Moseby!
Meroni has the hooks in. Moseby is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Meroni passes his arm under Moseby's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Moseby taps!
