With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Connor Mac Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Imperiex Prime!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Prime doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Prime moves out of range as Burns strikes.
Burns throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Prime counters with a nice uppercut.
Prime gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Burns misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Prime.
It seemed like Prime was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Burns misses with a body shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Prime! But no joy.
Prime lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A slow jab from Burns misses its intended target.
A little jabbing left from Prime on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns looks to score with a jab to the body but Prime is just out of range.
It seemed like Prime was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Prime moves out of range of the leg kick from Burns.
Prime throws out a counter right but Burns avoids it with no problem.
Burns lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Prime circles away quickly and effectively.

Connor Mac Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Burns takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Prime is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Burns misses with a body shot.
Prime with the counter takedown but Burns avoids it easily.
Prime takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Burns cracks Prime with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Burns lands with a right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Prime throws a good cross that connects.
Prime clobbers Burns with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Prime has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
A big right from Burns misses.
Burns misses the body punch
and Prime counters with a stiff right hand.
Prime lands a jab to the nose.
Burns looks to score with a jab to the body but Prime is just out of range.
Burns throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Prime counters with a three punch combo that has Burns backing up. Burns nods at Prime to acknowledge the strikes.
Burns misses with a straight left.
Burns jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Burns shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A chopping leg kick lands by Burns.
Burns swings widly with a right hand
and Burns takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Prime might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Burns will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Prime swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Burns misses with a leg kick
and Prime connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A combination from Burns does no damage.
Burns looks to land a left hand but Prime moved out of range nicely.
Prime looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Burns throws a jab but it's blocked by Prime.
Burns throws a poor cross that misses

and Prime holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Prime pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Prime feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Burnss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Prime counters with a nice uppercut.
Burns throws a hook to the side of Prime's head but Prime sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Despite the aggression on Prime's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burns misses with a left hand
and Prime counters with a stiff right hand.
Prime scores with a punch to the head.
Burns misses with a straight left.
Prime is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Burns had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Burns rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Prime counters with a straight right hand.
Burns throws a looping overhand right but Prime ducks down to avoid it.
Burns swings away with a body shot that misses
and Prime counters with a straight right hand.
Burns throws a leg kick which misses Prime's front leg but catches the back leg as Prime tries to avoid it.
A shot to the body from Burns misses
and Prime counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Imperiex Prime will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Prime takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Burns swings widly with a right hand
and Prime counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Burns throws a right hand that misses
and Prime counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Burns drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Prime right on the button. Prime goes down! Burns follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Burns gets the win via TKO!
