Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Thorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kennedy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sledgehammer. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damien Thorn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Kennedy!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thorn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Thorn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kennedy tries to avoid it but Thorn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kennedy to the ground. Kennedy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Thorn lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kennedy's sensitive parts.
Thorn slips under a jab.
Thorn attempts a counter takedown but Kennedy avoids it well and moves away.
Thorn has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Madz **21 Elite coaches** in the buildup to the fight.
Thorn scores with a nice strike.
Thorn lands a nice hook to Kennedy's body. Kennedy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kennedy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thorn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kennedy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kennedy wants to land a leg kick but Thorn is out of range.
Thorn stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Thorn jabs at Kennedy's body.
Kennedy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thorn.
Thorn closes the distance and clinches.
Thorn is trying to trip Kennedy. He has hold of a leg but Kennedy is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Thorn persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thorn is looking to work some ground and pound but Kennedy has wrist control.

Kennedy tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kennedy wants to stand and escape but Thorn is having none of it.

Thorn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Thorn throws a strike but Kennedy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Thorn is looking to stand up but Kennedy isn't so interested in that idea.
Kennedy tries to stand but Thorn is controlling from the bottom.
Thorn pushes Kennedy off and scrambles back to his feet.

Kennedy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Thorn to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Thorn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Thorn throws an elbow that misses. Kennedy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Thorn's guard. Nice move by Kennedy!

Thorn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kennedy swivels and escapes.

and Kennedy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Thorn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kennedy.
Kennedy throws a jab when Thorn was well out of range.
Kennedy misses with a series of wild punches.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kennedy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Thorn misses with an uppercut.
Thorn throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kennedy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thorn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Kennedy has his feet on Thorn's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Thorn looks to throw the jab but Kennedy is out of range.
Thorn misses with a double jab.

Thorn lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kennedy looks winded!
Thorn gets through Kennedy's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Thorn digs a right hand into Kennedy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kennedy's gas tank.
Thorn lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kennedy backwards.
Kennedy is rocked!
Thorn lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Kennedy is still on wobbly legs! Can Thorn finish him?
Thorn is working Kennedy over against the cage.

Thorn lands a shot to the body.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Thorn lands a left hand.
Thorn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kennedy pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damien Thorn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thorn cracks a nice hook into Kennedy's ribs.

Thorn slips a straight right by Kennedy.
Thorn wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Thorn slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheers as Thorn lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kennedy doesn't seem phased though.
Damien Thorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A short body shot lands from Thorn as the two fighters clinch.
Thorn lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Kennedy to his knees! Thorn keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
