10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Andrei Zharkov! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zharkov misses with a wild body shot. It looked like De Vos wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Zharkov connects with a looping right hand.
Zharkov doesn't succeed with the takedown and De Vos counters with a straight right hand. Zharkov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. De Vos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zharkov now looks to counter with a shot at the body. De Vos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zharkov. Zharkov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Zharkov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Zharkov misses with a hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zharkov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Zharkov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in De Vos's guard. De Vos has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Zharkov has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. De Vos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zharkov lands a head shot. De Vos throws a right and a left that Zharkov avoids nicely. Zharkov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says De Vos as he avoids it easily. Zharkov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Zharkov slips a jab and a cross from De Vos.
Zharkov has his takedown stuffed and De Vos counters with a three punch combo that has Zharkov backing up. Zharkov nods at De Vos to acknowledge the strikes. Jonas De Vos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrei Zharkov. De Vos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zharkov circles away quickly and effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Zharkov dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

De Vos takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. De Vos misses with the combination.

De Vos throws a series of punches but Zharkov avoids them all with ease. De Vos slaps away a takedown attempt from Zharkov, before circling back to the center of the mat. De Vos seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. De Vos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zharkov. De Vos throwing a counter right hand but Zharkov manages to avoid it. Zharkov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Zharkov shoots in and drives through. De Vos sprawls well. Jonas De Vos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrei Zharkov. A jab lands there for Zharkov. Zharkov avoids the body shot from De Vos.

Jonas De Vos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. De Vos avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A little feinted left hand from De Vos on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. De Vos has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Zharkov swings for the body but De Vos moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by De Vos. Zharkov throws a body shot but no joy. The crowd cheers as Zharkov lands an impressive looking overhand right. De Vos doesn't seem phased though. Zharkov misses with a combination
and De Vos counters with a series of strikes. Zharkov will be more careful next time no doubt.
Zharkov is rocked! De Vos connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Zharkov! He's out on his feet! De Vos rushes in and drops Zharkov with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
