Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Batchelor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rory Batchelor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Takeshi Hashimoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Rory Batchelor! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batchelor shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hashimoto manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Batchelor trying to control the position from guard on top but Hashimoto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hashimoto seems keen to control Batchelor's posture. Hashimoto keeping full guard, as Batchelor tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hashimoto keeping moving, preventing Batchelor from controlling successfully. Hashimoto is looking to sweep but instead, Batchelor has passed into half guard.
Hashimoto's coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hashimoto wants to improve his position but Batchelor is controlling well.
Hashimoto keeps control of the position for the meantime. Hashimoto won't allow Batchelor to pass to mount. Hashimoto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hashimoto tries to roll over but Batchelor keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Batchelor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hashimoto sees it coming and defends easily. Hashimoto is holding on to half guard well.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Batchelor tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hashimoto defends well and Batchelor ends up having to push Hashimoto into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Batchelor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Batchelor fails with the takedown and Hashimoto counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hashimoto. Batchelor looking to control.
Hashimoto could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hashimoto engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Batchelor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Batchelor working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hashimoto. Hashimoto sitting in guard here, content to control. Batchelor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hashimoto defends well. Hashimoto tries to free his leg and advance position but Batchelor is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Batchelor is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hashimoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Batchelor wants to control but Hashimoto is keeping him busy. Batchelor throwing shots but Hashimoto is blocking nicely. Hashimoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Batchelor wants to control but Hashimoto is keeping him busy. Rory Batchelor dominated that round. That's time! Hashimoto's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Batchelor shoots and misses and Hashimoto counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Batchelor looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hashimoto perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hashimoto seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Batchelor for as long as he can get away with. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Batchelor is looking to control Hashimoto's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Batchelor avoid being mounted? Batchelor moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hashimoto working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hashimoto slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Batchelor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hashimoto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hashimoto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hashimoto is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hashimoto manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Batchelor on his heels. He'll look to pass Batchelor's guard now, I'm sure. Batchelor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hashimoto is aware though and is defending well. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hashimoto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Batchelor avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hashimoto is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hashimoto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Batchelor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hashimoto has managed to get both his arms back between Batchelor's legs - danger averted. Hashimoto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Batchelor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Takeshi Hashimoto overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Batchelor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Let's see if he can advance position further. Hashimoto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Batchelor on the ground. Hashimoto thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hashimoto thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Batchelor's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takeshi Hashimoto dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Batchelor wants to get back to full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Batchelor has a takedown stuffed. Hashimoto appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Batchelor fails to land the takedown. Hashimoto half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hashimoto slips a straight right by Batchelor. Hashimoto changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Batchelor shoots in and drives through. Hashimoto sprawls well. Takeshi Hashimoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rory Batchelor. Batchelor fails with a takedown attempt. Batchelor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Batchelor shoots and misses and Hashimoto counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hashimoto. Hashimoto showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Hashimoto working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
