Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer's entrance music is Sans Pression - Numero 1. A fine choice. Brandon has chosen Catch Em By Surprise as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Palmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny Brandon!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Palmer as Brandon shoots in.
A slapping leg kick lands for Palmer.

Palmer forces Brandon back against the cage and clinches.
Brandon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Palmer.
Brandon misses with the head strike.
Palmer is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Brandon gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Brandon misses with a punch on the inside.
Brandon lands with a short head shot on the inside.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Brandon lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Palmer is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Brandon is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Brandon.
Palmer pushes Brandon back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Brandon throws a head punch that misses.
Brandon stops a takedown attempt from Palmer.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Palmer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brandon misses with a short punch on the inside.
The referee is keeping an eye on Palmer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Brandon tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Palmer blocking some punches.
Brandon swings wildly with an uppercut but Palmer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Palmer blocks an uppercut.
Palmer has Brandon pressed against the cage.

Palmer lands a right hand.
Palmer holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Palmer lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Palmer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Palmer moves out of range of the strikes.
Palmer changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Brandon connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Palmer pivots, looking for a leg kick but Brandon is out of range and Palmer settles back down.
A nice side step and Brandon releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Palmer throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Brandon was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Palmer fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Palmer tries a low kick but Brandon avoids it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Palmer instigates a clinch.
Brandon swings wildly with an uppercut but Palmer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Palmer taking a breather.
Palmer blocking some punches.
Brandon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Palmer has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Brandon is trying to keep an underhook but Palmer manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Brandon is holding on to half guard well.
Brandon wants to improve his position but Palmer is controlling well.
Brandon is staying active underneath Palmer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Palmer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Palmer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Palmer is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Brandon reverses the position - he's now on top in Palmer's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brandon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Brandon chips away with some ground and pound.

Palmer has an active guard here but Brandon has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brandon not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Brandon is thwarting Palmer's attempts to control the position.
Palmer wants to improve his position but Brandon is controlling well.
Brandon throwing shots but Palmer is blocking nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Brandon is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brandon throwing shots but Palmer is blocking nicely.
Brandon throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Palmer to regain full guard.
Brandon throwing strikes from guard but Palmer blocks nicely.
Brandon scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Palmer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Brandon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Palmer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Palmer looking to control.
Brandon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Palmer's head.


Palmer is rocked!

Palmer has his foot on Brandon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brandon works his way back into a safe position though.
Oh Palmer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brandon postures up and lands a big shot to Palmer's brow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kenny Brandon will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Brandon gets in close and tags Palmer with a short punch that almost sends Palmer to the mat! Oh Palmer is in big trouble! He turns his back on Brandon, trying to create some distance but Brandon rushes him, striking wildly and Palmer goes down! The referee tackles Brandon into the cage to end the fight! Brandon is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenny Brandon!
A victorious Kenny Brandon thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
George Palmer spoke after the fight, saying 'Great job Terry I have no excuses. You are clearly a better fighter tonight. You hit so freaking hard man.'.
