Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dante Orlando! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lee Majors! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Majors tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Majors takes a shot right to the bread basket. Orlando steps into range and cracks Majors with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Majors flops backwards and Orlando dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Lee Majors has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Orlando advances position into side control! Orlando in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Majors takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Orlando throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Majors is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Orlando has just dragged him back down to the mat. Majors defending against the ground and pound. Orlando tries to score with some ground and pound. Majors controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Majors on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Orlando misses with the ground and pound. Orlando grinds an elbow into Majors's temple. Orlando misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orlando working the head and body with strikes. Majors is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Orlando looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Majors is avoiding damage well.
Majors really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Orlando. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Orlando throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Orlando has knee on belly and moves into mount. Majors looks gassed! Orlando postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Majors looks a forlorn figure.
Orlando throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Majors because Orlando loaded up on that one. Majors can't escape the position.
Orlando in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Majors is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Orlando with the ground and pound from mount. Majors is still in real trouble! Can Orlando finish him? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Orlando lands a big elbow - Majors is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Majors is forced to tap out!
