The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plunk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Plunk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Plunk trying to control the pace. Orsini is trying to get back to full guard. Plunk wants to stand up but Orsini has a hold of him and won't allow it. Orsini is not content to let Plunk control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plunk works his way into side control. Orsini wants to control but Plunk postures up. Orsini regains half guard. Plunk keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Plunk is working for a submission of some sort.
Orsini is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Plunk not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Plunk content just to control the position here. Plunk thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Mel Plunk just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. A punch combination from Orsini misses. Plunk tries to clinch but Orsini moves out of range. Orsini tries to clinch and Plunk counters with a single leg into guard. Orsini didn't expect that. Plunk wants to control from the top but Orsini keeps moving. Orsini is breathing heavily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Orsini can do anything to dispel that myth. Mel Plunk dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Orsini tries to clinch up but Plunk circles away and keeps his distance. Plunk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Orsini looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Plunk controls the position from side control. Orsini looking for a sweep but Plunk has passed into full mount! Oh no! Orsini is working to get back to half guard.
Plunk landing strikes from the mount and Orsini is in trouble! Mel Plunk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Orsini takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Plunk. Plunk sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Plunk trying to control but he's not successful this time. Orsini working to try and regain half guard.

Plunk has hold of Orsini's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Orsini manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Plunk has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Orsini's face.
Plunk is in the full mount, landing strikes. Plunk controlling from the full mount. Joao Gabriel Orsini has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mel Plunk is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Mel Plunk showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Plunk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
