Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lister checks a low kick from NRipit.
Lister leaves NRipit with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lister throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice body punch from Lister.
Josh Lister seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lister throws out a loose jab but NRipit uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lister misses the shot to the body.
Lister is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by NRipit.
Lister lands with a shot to the body.
NRipit fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A solid body kick from NRipit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
NRipit takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lister throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
NRipit misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Josh Lister has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gripit NRipit.

NRipit takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
A slow jab from Lister misses its intended target.

and Lister makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. NRipit really felt that one!

Lister bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of NRipit's head.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lister enables NRipit to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lister manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lister is on top in guard.

NRipit looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lister has picked NRipit up and slammed him! NRipit can't keep hold of the triangle and Lister manages to pass to side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
NRipit takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

NRipit struggling a bit here.
NRipit managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Lister.
We've been hearing that Lister has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Lister wants to control but NRipit is keeping him busy.
Lister controls the position.
Lister cracks NRipit with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Lister throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
NRipit takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

NRipit looking for a sweep but Lister has passed into full mount! Oh no!
NRipit keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
NRipit keeps trying to improve his position.
Lister has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lister lands a nice shot to the head.
NRipit tries to lock up and control but Lister gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lister postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. NRipit looks a forlorn figure.
