Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antero Vipunen!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vipunen thuds a left hand into Lesnar's body.

Vipunen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lesnar is trying to get back to his feet.
Lesnar tries to improve position but can't.
Vipunen in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vipunen lands a nice forearm strike.
Lesnar tries to escape but Vipunen is in control.
Vipunen cracks Lesnar with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Vipunen scores with punches from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vipunen lands a nice forearm strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vipunen working the body and head with strikes.
Lesnar is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Vipunen asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Lesnar is looking to reverse the position.
Lesnar taking punishment in the form of punches.

Lesnar tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Lesnar is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Vipunen lands a couple of good shots and Lesnar has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Well, with Vipunen on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Lesnar is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Lesnar wants to get back to his feet.
Vipunen has Lesnar flattened out and is raining down punches.
Vipunen punishes Lesnar with strikes from the back mount.
Vipunen is punishing Lesnar with some ground and pound.
Lesnar covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I would not like to be Lesnar right now.
Vipunen lands strikes to the head.

I really don't envy Lesnar right now.
Lesnar trying to get back to his feet but Vipunen is in full control for now.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lesnar trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The referee is taking a good look at Lesnar as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Vipunen!
Vipunen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Vipunen has good solid back control here.
Lesnar is trying to stand back up.

Lesnar is keeping busy.
Lesnar grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
The referee is taking a good look at Lesnar as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Vipunen!
Vipunen throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Lesnar!
Lesnar looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Vipunen is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Lesnar is trying to break free.
Vipunen lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Vipunen tries to get the hooks in deep but Lesnar pushed the leg off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Vipunen scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Vipunen is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Lesnar. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lesnar grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.


Lesnar is rocked!
Lesnar is covering up but some of the strikes from Vipunen are getting through and doing damage.
Oh Lesnar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vipunen scores with punches from the back.
Lesnar trying to control the hands but Vipunen breaks the grip.
Vipunen scoring with big shots to the body. Lesnar is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Lesnar was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antero Vipunen!
