Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
O Doyle is looking to improve his position.
O Doyle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for O Doyle.

Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
O Doyle misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Jones counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends O Doyle down! Jones is looking to finish but O Doyle is intelligently defending himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones steps into range and cracks O Doyle with a monster punch that buckles his knees! O Doyle flops backwards and Jones dives into his guard looking to finish!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jones tries to bum rush O Doyle with a series of wild strikes but O Doyle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before O Doyle has time to react.

O Doyle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.

Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces O Doyle off the cage and back into rage.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but O Doyle bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and O Doyle takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yaz O Doyle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
O Doyle has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from O Doyle there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

O Doyle on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jones connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent O Doyle tumbling to the canvas! Jones pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! O Doyle was done - good stoppage!
