Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Amp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Derek Flood!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flood has his takedown stuffed
and Amp counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Flood closes the distance and clinches up with Amp, looking for a takedown. Flood pushes Amp against the cage but Amp circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Flood darts in looking for a takedown but Amp gets double underhooks and turns Flood into the cage.
Michael Amp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek Flood.
Flood takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Derek Flood has been cut.
Amp definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Amp takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Derek Flood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flood scores with a jab to the head.
Flood shoots in and drives through. Amp sprawls well.
Amp throwing a counter right hand but Flood manages to avoid it.
Flood misses with a hook. Amp ducked under it nicely.
Flood with a lazy takedown attempt
and Flood takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Flood is rocked!
Flood has a takedown stuffed.
A little feinted left hand from Amp on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Flood is still on wobbly legs! Can Amp finish him?
Amp drops Flood with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Flood! Amp dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Amp!
