Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for John Doe has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Doe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damien Scott! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Scott was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Scott cracks Doe with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Scott in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Scott postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Doe looks a forlorn figure.
Doe takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. This has been an exciting period of action! Scott lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Scott is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Doe can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

It looks like John Doe has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Scott tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Doe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Scott is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Doe has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Doe! Scott pushes Doe off and gets back to his feet.
John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Scott paws at him with a jab and circles away. Doe doesn't manage to clinch there - Scott circles away.
Scott shoots in and drives through. Doe sprawls well. The fight stays on the outside here - Doe looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Scott throws a right and a left that Doe avoids nicely. Doe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Scott paws at him with a jab and circles away. Scott changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Doe tries to avoid it but Scott manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Doe to the ground. Doe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Doe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Scott but Scott pushes him off and we're back to square one. Doe clinches with his opponent.
Doe pushes off an fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Doe throws an elbow that misses.
Doe comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Scott blocks an elbow strike. Scott pulls guard. Scott looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Doe has passed into half guard!
Scott pushes Doe off looking to stand but Doe dives back in and keeps control.
Doe seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Scott flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Scott misses with some strikes from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Scott tries to kick Doe off but Doe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Scott instigates a clinch. Doe misses with an elbow over the top. Doe trying to control the position but instead, Scott has worked for underhooks and has pushed Doe into the cage. Scott works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scott working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Doe's head. Scott looking to sit in guard and control but Doe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Scott looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Doe puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damien Scott dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Doe's cut. That's time! Doe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Doe stuffs the takedown. Doe wants to clinch and Scott holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Doe pushes off an throws an elbow but Scott leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Doe throws an elbow but it misses.

Scott goes for a takedown attempt but Doe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
John Doe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Scott. Scott scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Doe wants to get back to his feet. Scott is breathing heavily. Scott stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe wants to clinch and Scott holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Scott is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Doe throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Scott has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Doe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Doe stops a takedown attempt from Scott.
Doe pushes off an fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Scott turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Scott is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Doe has escaped the position, nice work there. Scott throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Doe works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe taking some punishment here, with Scott in his half guard. Scott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Doe keeps working. Doe pushes Scott off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe darts in trying to clinch and Scott counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Doe! Scott fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Scott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Doe is squirming around, avoiding Scott's attempts to control the action. Doe is looking to improve his position but Scott isn't that keen on the idea. Scott pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Scott looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damien Scott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Scott looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Scott circles away from the clinch attempt and Scott counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Scott not landing any meaningful shots this time. Scott performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Scott escapes and gets back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Doe tries to clinch but fails miserably and Scott counters by moving into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. A right hand to the body from Scott.
Scott turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Scott cracks Doe with a big right hand but Doe just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Doe takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Scott creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Scott landing strikes. Doe avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Scott. Damien Scott is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Doe sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Scott lands a few punches from side control. Scott connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Doe some visible discomfort.
Scott is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Doe has escaped the position, nice work there. Doe gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Scott decides to stand and escape the position. Doe shoots and misses and Scott counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Scott content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Doe wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe won't allow Scott to pass to mount. Scott escapes and gets back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Scott fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Doe sprawls well initially but Scott persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Scott passes to side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Damien Scott comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Scott winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
