The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burrell throws a leg kick but De Noteboom moved away. Burrell fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Burrell ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Burrell looks to score with a jab to the body but De Noteboom is just out of range. Burrell fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Burrell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent De Noteboom stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Burrell scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Burrell has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Lightning Kicks (MaxID260K) in the buildup to the fight. Burrell walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. De Noteboom keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stanley Burrell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. De Noteboom is looking to clinch. Burrell looks to land a right hand but De Noteboom moved out of range. De Noteboom tries to close the distance and clinch but Burrell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Burrell throws a body punch but De Noteboom moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burrell walks into a stiff left hand from De Noteboom. Burrell gets off balance looking for a body kick and De Noteboom counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Burrell ! De Noteboom trying to control the action but Burrell is working from the bottom. Burrell struggling a bit here. Burrell is trying to get back to half guard. Burrell is not content to let De Noteboom control the position. Burrell is trying to control De Noteboom's posture but De Noteboom avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burrell tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but De Noteboom presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! De Noteboom looking to ground and pound but Burrell is blocking nicely. De Noteboom lands a couple of good shots and Burrell has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Burrell is trapped and De Noteboom is scoring with shots to the head and body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. De Noteboom missing with punches from the back. Burrell grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Burrell rolls, trying to escape but De Noteboom keeps control of the position.
Burrell wants to control his opponent's hands but De Noteboom gets his hands free. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. What can Burrell do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Noteboom missing with punches from the back. De Noteboom has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Burrell 's body.
De Noteboom misses with an elbow to the head. Can Burrell hold on?! De Noteboom is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
De Noteboom thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Burrell covering up well and avoiding damage. Burrell tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw De Noteboom working his ground and pound in the gym. Burrell is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Noteboom landing strikes, looking to finish! De Noteboom in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
De Noteboom avoids the attempt from Burrell to control. De Noteboom is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Burrell is rocked! Burrell tries to hold on but De Noteboom postures up. Oh Burrell is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! De Noteboom is in the full mount, landing strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! De Noteboom postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Burrell badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of De Noteboom around the waist but De Noteboom pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! De Noteboom is the winner by TKO! De Noteboom jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

A very excited looking Robert De Noteboom made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
