Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Hoseman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alonzo Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Greg Hoseman! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoseman throws a series of punches but Davidson avoids them all with ease. Hoseman tries to bum rush Davidson with a series of wild strikes but Davidson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Davidson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Hoseman rushes Davidson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hoseman keeps control of Davidson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Davidson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Davidson takes a shot to the head. Hoseman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Davidson fails with the takedown. Davidson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Hoseman as Davidson shoots in. Hoseman moves into the clinch. Hoseman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hoseman looks to land a combination but Davidson avoids it well. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hoseman enables Davidson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hoseman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davidson wants to stand but Hoseman is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davidson stays in close to Hoseman's body and controls the position. Davidson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hoseman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hoseman is working an open guard so Davidson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Davidson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hoseman tries to avoid it but Davidson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hoseman to the ground. Hoseman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alonzo Davidson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hoseman clinches up with Davidson and pushes him back against the cage. Davidson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hoseman throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A punch combination from Hoseman misses. Greg Hoseman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoseman throws a right and a left that Davidson avoids nicely. Hoseman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Davidson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hoseman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hoseman is in Davidson's guard. Davidson pulls Hoseman in to control the position. Hoseman is posturing up here but Davidson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hoseman tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hoseman has to tap! Slick submission there by Davidson!
