Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grey comes to the cage accompanied by Soilwork - Nerve. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jim Grey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alex Gold! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gold throws a right hand that Grey ducks under and follows up with a left that Grey also avoids with ease. Alex Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gold pinned against the cage. Gold gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A kick lands to the mid section there for Gold. Gold closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Gold working Grey over with strikes. Gold looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gold lands a nice short elbow. Gold is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Grey is just riding it out for now. Gold eventually gives up the hold. Gold wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grey keeps working. Grey tries to roll over but Gold keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grey is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gold trying to control from half guard but Grey is working away. Gold wants to stand up but Grey is controlling the position.
Grey is breathing heavily. Grey is pressing down on Gold's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gold loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Grey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Gold fails with the takedown. Gold fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grey sprawls well initially but Gold persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gold drops an elbow to the side of Grey's head. Gold decides to return to a standing position. Gold shoots and misses and Grey counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gold! Grey connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Grey looking to finish Gold with some ground and pound. This is bad for Gold! Gold is desperately trying to improve his position but Grey has a good base and remains in mount. Gold is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gold wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Grey avoids the attempt from Gold to control. Grey pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grey prevents Gold from getting the reversal. Gold tries to control the position but Grey now has his back.
Grey is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Gold up.
Gold is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Grey has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Gold tries to escape but Grey has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gold trying to control the hands but Grey breaks the grip. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gold might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Grey kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Grey controlling well, preventing Gold from escaping the position.

Grey has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Grey tries to clinch but Gold moves out of range. Grey looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Grey's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gold manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Gold stalling away here and it's allowed Grey to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Grey is working an open guard so Gold takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Gold with a poor takedown and Grey counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gold's guard now. Grey landing with the ground and pound. Grey stops Gold from standing up. Grey stands and steps away. Gold gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Gold tries for a takedown but Grey sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jim Grey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Gold. Gold cracks Grey with a right hand to the side of the head.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Alex Gold. I think Gold has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
