Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Petr Kropotkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edwin Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kropotkin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Distress - Progress/Regress. Jordan has chosen Excuse Me as his entrance music. Edwin Jordan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Petr Kropotkin's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edwin Jordan!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kropotkin scores with a jab.

Kropotkin moves into the clinch successfully.

Jordan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jordan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kropotkin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kropotkin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kropotkin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jordan escapes and throws Kropotkin's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Kropotkin is trying to control Jordan's posture but Jordan avoids it.
Kropotkin is looking to reverse the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jordan cracks Kropotkin with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Kropotkin has his foot on Jordan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jordan works his way back into a safe position though.

Kropotkin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jordan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jordan stands up over Kropotkin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kropotkin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jordan escapes and throws Kropotkin's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Jordan throws an elbow but Kropotkin slips to the side and avoids it well.

Kropotkin is rocked!
Jordan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kropotkin keeps working.
Oh Kropotkin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kropotkin is looking for a sweep.
Kropotkin seems to have got his legs back now.
Kropotkin is not content to let Jordan control the position.
Jordan in side control lands a decent elbow.

Kropotkin sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Kropotkin wants to control but Jordan is keeping busy.

Jordan drops an elbow to the side of Kropotkin's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kropotkin gets back to full guard.

Kropotkin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jordan defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edwin Jordan dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jordan with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kropotkin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kropotkin connects with a body shot.
Nice defenses there by Kropotkin.
Kropotkin jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jordan misses with a leg kick.
Jordan throws a leg kick but Kropotkin moved away.
Kropotkin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jordan throws out the jab.
Kropotkin is looking for a counter combo.
Jordan works the jab nicely.

Jordan cracks Kropotkin with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jordan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kropotkin to stand back up!


It looks like Petr Kropotkin has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jordan cracks the inside of Kropotkin's front leg.
Kropotkin scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kropotkin misses with a series of wild punches.
Jordan unleashes a big counter combination but Kropotkin bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Kropotkin instigates a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Kropotkin tries to pull guard but Jordan won't allow it.

Kropotkin is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jordan to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Petr Kropotkin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jordan misses with a short punch on the inside.
Jordan lands a shoulder strike.
Kropotkin has a couple of punches blocked by Jordan.
Jordan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Jordan.
Kropotkin blocks an uppercut.
Jordan pushes Kropotkin back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Jordan tries a body shot but Kropotkin blocks it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jordan struggles to land a body shot inside as Kropotkin controls his hands.

Kropotkin misses with the head strike.
Kropotkin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jordan smiles and moves away.
Kropotkin lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Jordan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kropotkin sprawling to the canvas! Kropotkin rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jordan finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kropotkin switches off momentarily and Jordan cracks him with a monster right hand! Kropotkin topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Jordan dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Jordan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Edwin Jordan!
An out of breath Edwin Jordan thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
