The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tartan fails to land with a series of punches.
Tartan scores with a decent looking hook.
Ilmarinen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tartan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Tartan lands a jab to the head.

Tartan lands with a shot to the body.

Ilmarinen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tartan to the ground. Ilmarinen is now in Tartan's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ilmarinen won't allow Tartan to get back to his feet.
Tartan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ilmarinen on the ground.

Ilmarinen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tartan, up you get!

Tartan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ilmarinen circles away quickly and effectively.
Reshad Tartan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tartan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tartan pushes Ilmarinen off, looking to escape but Ilmarinen dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Tartan is forced to tap! The fight is over!

After the fight, Asko Ilmarinen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
