The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roman tries to clinch there but Magomedov circles away.
Magomedov shapes to counter with a head kick.
Roman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Magomedov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Roman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Roman fails with the takedown.
A head kick misses from Magomedov.
Magomedov lands with a good body shot.
Magomedov misses with a jab, cross combination.
Magomedov throws a leg kick which misses Roman's front leg but catches the back leg as Roman tries to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ali Magomedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Roman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Roman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Magomedov's efforts to push away.

With the fighters up against the cage, Roman throws an elbow but misses.

Magomedov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Magomedov throws a sloppy head kick and Roman moves out of range easily.
Roman shoots in for a takedown but Magomedov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Magomedov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Roman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Magomedov throws a sloppy head kick and Roman moves out of range easily.

Magomedov lands a big head kick that sends Roman tumbling to the mat! Magomedov takes a step backwards and waves Roman back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Roman is rocked!
It looks like Rudolf Roman has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Magomedov! This one is all over!
