Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lou Fertit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jonathan oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fertit comes to the cage accompanied by Chop Suey. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lou Fertit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fertit takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Lou Fertit has been cut.
oliveira throws a quick inside leg kick.
Fertit shoots for a double leg takedown but oliveira sprawls well. He's pushed Fertit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fertit fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
oliveira feints and as Fertit raises his hands in defense, oliveira changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fertit looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
oliveira is looking to stand up but Fertit won't let him.
Fertit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Fertit has his foot on oliveira's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. oliveira works his way back into a safe position though.
oliveira throws a strike but Fertit rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Fertit drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but oliveira manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fertit has oliveira in his guard.
Fertit is breathing heavily.
oliveira wants to stand but Fertit is controlling his posture from full guard.

oliveira avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
oliveira gets to his feet - Fertit follows without any prompting.
oliveira tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fertit shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fertit showed some decent athleticism there.
Fertit is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
oliveira is looking for a sweep. Fertit is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fertit landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Fertit looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
oliveira striking from half guard on the bottom.
oliveira is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
oliveira is defending against the submission attempts here by Fertit.
Fertit tries to pass to full mount but oliveira defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fertit drops an elbow to the side of oliveira's head.
oliveira actively working from the bottom here.
Fertit is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so oliveira is just riding it out for now. Fertit eventually gives up the hold.
oliveira is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Fertit pulls his head out easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fertit seems to be looking for submissions.
Fertit wants to work for an arm triangle but oliveira is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Fertit seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Fertit is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and oliveira defends it well.

That was a close round but I would say that Lou Fertit will probably get the nod.

That's time! Fertit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Fertit tries for a takedown but oliveira circles away easily
letting oliveira counter with a right hand.
Fertit shoots and misses
and oliveira counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fertit is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Lou Fertit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fertit takes a kick to the side of the head.
Fertit with a lazy takedown attempt
and oliveira counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lou Fertit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fertit tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Fertit will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fertit looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but oliveira is defending well. Fertit quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! oliveira has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Fertit celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
