20 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Klincko! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klincko looks to land a combination but Steel Penn Alliance avoids it well. Klincko throws a right and a left that Steel Penn Alliance avoids nicely. Steel Penn Alliance lands a high kick!
A lazy left from Klincko finds it's target. Steel Penn Alliance is looking to slow Klincko down with leg kicks. Steel Penn Alliance blocks a head kick by Klincko.
Klincko swings for the body but Steel Penn Alliance moves out of range.
A low kick from Klincko misses and Steel Penn Alliance cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Steel Penn Alliance avoids the body shot from Klincko.

Steel Penn Alliance has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Steel Penn Alliance fires out a quick counter leg kick but Klincko just manages to avoid it. Klincko throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Steel Penn Alliance is looking to counter punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klincko misses with a kick to the body and Steel Penn Alliance counters by moving into the clinch. Klincko breaks the clinch.
Klincko throws a low kick but Steel Penn Alliance moves out of range easily. Klincko throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. A big left from Klincko misses. Steel Penn Alliance went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Klincko throws a right hand that Steel Penn Alliance ducks under and follows up with a left that Steel Penn Alliance also avoids with ease. Klincko looks to land a body kick but Steel Penn Alliance moved away. Klincko throws out a leg kick but Steel Penn Alliance moves out of range and Klincko only half commits. Dave Klincko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Klincko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Steel Penn Alliance checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Klincko misses with a low kick. Klincko cracks Steel Penn Alliance with a good jab. Klincko throws a right hand that Steel Penn Alliance ducks under and follows up with a left that Steel Penn Alliance also avoids with ease. Klincko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Steel Penn Alliance counters with a good low kick that Klincko was not able to check.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Klincko drops his hands momentarily and Steel Penn Alliance takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Steel Penn Alliance slips a straight right by Klincko. Steel Penn Alliance digs a good body shot into Klincko's ribs. Klincko throws the kick towards the body but Steel Penn Alliance avoids it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Klincko throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Klincko just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromSteel Penn Alliance. Steel Penn Alliance throws a sloppy head kick and Klincko moves out of range easily. Steel Penn Alliance blocks a jab. Dave Klincko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Klincko stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Steel Penn Alliance. Klincko throws a solid leg kick but Steel Penn Alliance takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Klincko. Steel Penn Alliance tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Klincko paws at him with a jab and circles away. Klincko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Klincko lands an overhand right. Klincko misses with a body shot.
Steel Penn Alliance fires out a quick counter leg kick but Klincko just manages to avoid it. Klincko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Steel Penn Alliance. Klincko takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Steel Penn Alliance drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Klincko wants to control but Steel Penn Alliance postures up. Klincko tries to improve position but can't. Klincko keeps trying to improve his position. Steel Penn Alliance passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Klincko! Klincko working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel Penn Alliance is stalling here but it's allowed Klincko to get half guard.
Steel Penn Alliance is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Steel Penn Alliance looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Steel Penn Alliance is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Klincko. Steel Penn Alliance looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Klincko is fending him off so far but Steel Penn Alliance persists. Nope, Klincko circles away and we're back to standing. Klincko throws a looping overhand right but Steel Penn Alliance ducks down to avoid it. Klincko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Steel Penn Alliance moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Klincko lands a nice looking body kick. Dave Klincko seems to be getting the better of the standup. Klincko takes a swing at Steel Penn Alliance's ribcage but misses. Klincko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Steel Penn Alliance. That did some damage! Klincko lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Klincko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steel Penn Alliance was well out of range. Poor timing from Klincko. Steel Penn Alliance half committed to a counter leg kick. Steel Penn Alliance scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee asks Steel Penn Alliance politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Steel Penn Alliance prefers to stall for the moment though. Klincko is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel Penn Alliance looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Steel Penn Alliance staying calm. Klincko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Steel Penn Alliance's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Steel Penn Alliance! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Klincko has tapped! This one is allllll over!
