Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angle Kurtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurtis has chosen Savages by Theory of a Deadman as his entrance music. The key to victory for Lars Fowler has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Angle Kurtis! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kurtis feints and as Fowler raises his hands in defense, Kurtis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fowler wriggles free and stands up. Nice takedown defense from Fowler. No joy for Kurtis on that attempt. Kurtis looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kurtis with a poor takedown and Fowler counters with a series of strikes. Kurtis will be more careful next time no doubt. Fowler slaps away a takedown attempt from Kurtis, before circling back to the center of the mat. Fowler seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Lars Fowler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Angle Kurtis. Kurtis shoots in but Fowler avoids the takedown attempt easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fowler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kurtis. Fowler throws a right hand that Kurtis ducks under and follows up with a left that Kurtis also avoids with ease. Fowler moves into the clinch. Kurtis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Fowler prevents it.

Kurtis landing with the ground and pound. Kurtis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fowler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kurtis on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kurtis stops Fowler from standing up. Kurtis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kurtis's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kurtis working some strikes from top position. Kurtis passes into half guard. Kurtis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kurtis is trying for a kimura here. Fowler looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Kurtis wins by kimura!
