Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christian Rayne! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rayne misses with a double jab
and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Stone pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Stone jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rayne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Stone is looking to counter punch. Rayne misses with a takedown attempt and Stone counters with a series of strikes. Rayne will be more careful next time no doubt. Rayne misses with a takedown attempt and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jack Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Rayne. Rayne is looking to clinch but Stone is avoiding it.
Rayne looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rayne dodges the punch combination from Stone.
Stone displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rayne. Rayne looks winded! Stone jabs Rayne right on the nose. Rayne blinks but takes it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone lands a slapping body shot.
Rayne stalks Stone and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Stone's face. Stone staggers backwards, shaken. Stone connects with a looping right hand.
Stone moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Rayne is rocked! We've been told by Stone's head coaches at Convicted Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Rayne misses with a hook
and Stone counters with a nice body shot. Stone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stone keeps the fight on the outside. Stone lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Rayne is still on wobbly legs! Can Stone finish him? Rayne doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rayne shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stone pinned against the cage. Stone gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jack Stone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stone dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Rayne seems to have recovered his senses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone steps in with a hook that catches Rayne right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Stone follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Rayne looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Stone!
