0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Belcher! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Man digs a good body shot into Belcher's ribs. Man lands a jab. Old Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Man fails with an attempt to clinch.
Belcher takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Man jabs Belcher to the body, keeping him at a distance. Man with a nice cross. Belcher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! That's four minutes gone in the round. Belcher advances nicely into full mount. Belcher lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Belcher dominating with strikes here. Oh Man is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Belcher working away from the top, dropping strikes. Belcher postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Man in real trouble here! The ref calls for Man to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
