Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Train Stop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Delamitri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Train Stop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Delamitri!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delamitri stuffs the takedown.
Stop throws a head kick that misses
and Delamitri counters with a three punch combo that has Stop backing up. Stop nods at Delamitri to acknowledge the strikes.
Delamitri fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stop.
Stop tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Delamitri was well out of range. Poor timing from Stop.
Stop throws a nice outside leg kick.
Stop throws a wild body kick that Delamitri sees coming a mile off.

Delamitri shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Delamitri showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Stop wants to sweep but Delamitri has passed to side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Delamitri is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stop knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Delamitri is chipping away with strikes.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Stop is looking to regain half guard here but Delamitri keeps moving and retains side control.
Stop is trying to control Delamitri's posture but Delamitri avoids it.
Stop knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Delamitri on the ground.
Stop is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Delamitri's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Delamitri tries to stand but can't do so whilst Stop controls his leg.
Delamitri thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stop's head.
Delamitri wants to control but Stop is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Still in half guard, Delamitri seems content to control.
Stop is staying active underneath Delamitri, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Stop regains full guard. Nicely done.
Delamitri wants to pass the guard but Stop is keeping the position.
Stop working a defensive guard but Delamitri manages to pass into side control anyway.
Stop sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Stop is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Delamitri jumps into side control!
Stop tries to buck Delamitri off but Delamitri is having none of it.
You can see the frustration on Stop's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Stop darts in looking for a takedown but Delamitri gets double underhooks and turns Stop into the cage.

Stop shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Delamitri is trying to defend but Stop finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Delamitri has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Stop is on him like a limpet, forcing Delamitri back against the cage.

Delamitri gets control of Stop's arms and successfully pulls guard. Delamitri will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Stop postures up.
Stop missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stop throws a big right hand that misses.
Delamitri bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stop's guard.


Stop is looking for a triangle but Delamitri pushes his legs off easily.
Stop keeping moving, preventing Delamitri from controlling successfully.
Delamitri works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Stop is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Delamitri is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Delamitri wants to take a breather but Stop is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Delamitri dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Delamitri gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Stop's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stop tries to improve position but can't.
Delamitri postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
David Delamitri has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stop throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Delamitri is looking to take a break and control but Stop is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Delamitri advances to full mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stop is in all sorts of trouble here.

Delamitri has control of Stop's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stop regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Stop is trying desperately to improve position.
Delamitri is landing with some decent strikes but Stop is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Delamitri looking to finish Stop with some ground and pound. This is bad for Stop!
Stop on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stop tries to get out of the position.
Delamitri postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stop looks a forlorn figure.

Stop is wriggling around trying to escape.
Stop is squirming around, avoiding Delamitri's attempts to control the action.
Delamitri scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Delamitri wants to control the pace but Stop is squirming around nicely.
Stop sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Stop is staying active underneath Delamitri, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Delamitri is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Delamitri working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Stop is looking for a sweep. Delamitri is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stop is working hard here to advance position.

Stop looking for subs from the bottom but Delamitri mounts him!
Stop wants to control but Delamitri is having none of it.
Stop is trying desperately to improve position.

Stop is squirming around, avoiding Delamitri's attempts to control the action.
Delamitri lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Stop hang on?
Stop takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Delamitri is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Stop can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Stop is trying desperately to improve position.

David Delamitri showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

It looks like Train Stop has been cut.
Delamitri lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Stop! Delamitri sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Stop and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). David Delamitri!
