Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaka Baring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baring comes into the arena with Goyang Dumang blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jaka Baring!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harry Owen!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baring keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Baring swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Owen dives in and grabs Baring's left leg, looking for a takedown. Baring pushes down on Owen's head and hops out.
Owen shoots in and bounces Baring off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Owen throws a big right hand that misses.
Baring looking to hit a scissor sweep but Owen is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Owen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Owen with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Baring is adopting a defensive guard.
Owen trying to control but Baring is working from the bottom.
Owen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Owen throws a big right hand that misses.
Baring keeping moving, preventing Owen from controlling successfully.
Owen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Baring manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Owen has Baring in his guard.
Baring knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Owen on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Baring is looking to stand up but Owen won't let him.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Baring chips away with some ground and pound.
Owen looking to control.
Baring has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Owen is proving hard to escape from.
Baring lands a couple of digs.
Owen looking for a triangle here. Baring is fighting it but it looks tight! Owen pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Baring is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Harry Owen!
Harry Owen decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
