Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harrison Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrzej Byczor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Byczor comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tristam & Braken - Flight kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Andrzej Byczor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Harrison Flynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andrzej Byczor! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Byczor misses with a double jab
and Flynn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Byczor uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Flynn checks a low kick from Byczor. Byczor closes the distance and pushes Flynn back into the cage. Byczor is looking for a takedown. Byczor tries to score a body lock takedown but Flynn shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Flynn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Flynn manages to break the clinch.
Byczor moves into the clinch successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flynn gets control of Byczor's arms and successfully pulls guard. Flynn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Byczor stands up over Flynn, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Flynn really is a fat lump. Byczor drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Byczor jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Flynn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Byczor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Byczor scoring with punches to the head and body. Byczor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Byczor postures up.

Flynn is looking for a triangle but Byczor pushes his legs off easily.
Byczor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Byczor working some strikes from top position. Flynn has momentary wrist control but Byczor slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Byczor throwing strikes but missing. Flynn looking for a guillotine here but Byczor defends easily.
Byczor throws a big elbow that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Byczor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Flynn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Flynn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Byczor postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Flynn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Byczor, into his guard. Flynn makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flynn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Byczor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Flynn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Flynn landing with the ground and pound. Flynn throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Flynn slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Flynn in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Flynn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Byczor works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Flynn throws a big elbow that misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Flynn is looking to work some ground and pound but Byczor has wrist control.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Flynn leaves Byczor with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Harrison Flynn will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Byczor shoots in but no luck this time. Byczor shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Flynn counters with a nice body shot. Flynn drives through and clinches with Byczor against the cage.
Byczor keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Flynn's efforts to push away. Flynn breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Byczor with a lazy takedown attempt and Flynn counters with an outside leg kick.
Harrison Flynn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrzej Byczor. Nice takedown defense from Flynn. No joy for Byczor on that attempt. As Byczor looks to move away, Flynn throws a big counter combo but Byczor just gets out of the way. Byczor is breathing heavily. Byczor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Flynn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Byczor somewhat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flynn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Byczor to the ground. Flynn is now in Byczor's guard. Byczor wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Flynn manages to pass to side control. Flynn wants to stand up but Byczor has a hold of him and won't allow it. Flynn lands strikes from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flynn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Byczor's head. Flynn working over Byczor with some ground and pound. Byczor looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Byczor blocking the ground and pound attempt from Flynn. Flynn working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Flynn throwing shots but Byczor is blocking nicely. Flynn missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Harrison Flynn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Flynn stalling. Byczor keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flynn drops an elbow to the side of Byczor's head. Flynn tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Byczor has hold of Flynn's hands but Flynn slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flynn throwing shots but Byczor is blocking nicely.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Flynn connects with a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Byczor fails to land the takedown. Byczor shoots in looking for a takedown. Flynn tries to sprawl out of it but Byczor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Flynn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Andrzej Byczor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Decent striking displayed by Flynn there. Byczor shoots in looking for a takedown. Flynn tries to sprawl out of it but Byczor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Flynn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Flynn is looking for a counter combo. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Byczor gets caught flat footed, as Flynn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harrison Flynn dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Byczor fails with a takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Flynn. No joy for Byczor on that attempt. Flynn throws a counter high kick but Byczor was just alert enough to avoid it. Flynn darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Flynn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Byczor's head. Byczor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flynn drops an elbow to the side of Byczor's head. Flynn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Byczor can do to turn this around? Flynn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Byczor avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Flynn. Well, if Flynn is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Flynn tries to stand and escape but Byczor is controlling the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Flynn performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Byczor throws a leg kick and Flynn counters with a nice uppercut. Byczor shoots in but Flynn avoids the takedown attempt easily. Harrison Flynn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrzej Byczor.

Flynn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Flynn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Flynn slaps away a takedown attempt from Byczor, before circling back to the center of the mat. It looked like Flynn was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Byczor. Byczor has closed the distance and engaged Flynn in a clinch.
Flynn looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Flynn working hard to break the clinch. Andrzej Byczor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Andrzej Byczor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Byczor fails with the takedown and Flynn decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Byczor's guard. Flynn is standing up over Byczor. Byczor looks to escape but Flynn dives into side control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Flynn landing strikes. Harrison Flynn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Flynn working the body and head with strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Harrison Flynn showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Flynn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
