The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Letang is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones Ii sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jones Ii looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Letang clinches up against the cage.
Letang misses with a knee to the head.
Jones Ii has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Letang is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Letang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones Ii avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones Ii swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Letang closes the distance and clinches.

Letang moves to clinch but Jones Ii breaks away
and Jones Ii counters with a nice uppercut.
We've been hearing reports that Letang has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Jones Ii counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Letang moves in looking to clinch but Jones Ii pushes him off.

Jones Ii bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Letang's head backwards.

and Jones Ii cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Jones Ii counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Letang rushes Jones Ii and presses him up against the cage.
Jones Ii wants to take the fight to the mat but Letang manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Letang is stalling here.
Jones Ii content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Letang prevents a body shot from Jones Ii.
Jones Ii trying to stall but Letang improves his position.
Jones Ii is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Letang is defending well.
Pierre Letang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jupiter Jones Ii.
Jones Ii tries to pull guard but Letang won't allow it.

Letang displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones Ii throws out the jab.

Jones Ii lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Letang backs up against the cage.
Letang fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones Ii is out of range.

Letang darts in trying to clinch
enabling Jones Ii to counter with a crisp jab.
Letang is rocked!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Jones Ii moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Letang! Jones Ii continues to tee off on Letang, landing with a left and a right! Jones Ii connects with a right hand that leaves Letang sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Jones Ii!

After winning the bout, Jupiter Jones Ii thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
