And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yaj moves out of range as De Jager strikes.
Yaj shoots in for a takedown but De Jager shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
De Jager looks to throw the jab but Yaj is out of range.
A cross from Yaj lands.
De Jager fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Yaj moves into the clinch.
Yaj works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Yaj lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
De Jager breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
De Jager displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yaj throws out the jab.
De Jager lands a leg kick that knocks Yaj off balance momentarily.
De Jager throws out a leg kick but Yaj moves out of range and De Jager only half commits.
Yaj with a lazy takedown attempt
and De Jager counters with a three punch combo that has Yaj backing up. Yaj nods at De Jager to acknowledge the strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yaj tries to clinch there but De Jager circles away.
De Jager counters with a body kick.
Yaj definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
De Jager throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
De Jager scores with a nice strike.
De Jager connects with a leg kick. Yaj looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Yaj fails with the takedown
letting De Jager counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rio Yaj. That's going to take a lot out of him.
De Jager misses with a low kick.
Yaj scores with a nice strike.
Yaj shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts De Jager as he jumps to the side.
De Jager throws a big shot that misses.
De Jager throws a looping overhand right but Yaj ducks down to avoid it.
Nice uppercut lands for Yaj. That snapped De Jager's head back.
Yaj tries to clinch but De Jager moves out of range.
Yaj connects with a nice looking jab.
Yaj lands with a nice combination. De Jager backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Bismarck De Jager has been cut.
Rio Yaj seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yaj lands a jab-cross combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yaj misses with a combination
and De Jager counters with a straight right hand.

A big left from Yaj misses.
Yaj throws an overhand right that lands on De Jager's shoulder, as De Jager tries to avoid the shot.
De Jager steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Yaj tries to close the distance and clinch up but De Jager swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A combination from Yaj does no damage.
De Jager keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Yaj fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bismarck De Jager is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Yaj misses with a combination
and De Jager counters with a body kick.
Yaj throws a nice looking combination but De Jager bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Yaj misses with a looping left.
Yaj throws the left hand but De Jager avoids the punch easily.
De Jager darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Rio Yaj has been cut.
De Jager fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

De Jager wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Yaj lands an overhand right.
Yaj keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Yaj misses with a combination
and De Jager counters with a crisp one two that drops Yaj! De Jager thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Yaj to his feet! Yaj is in big trouble!
Yaj is rocked!
De Jager fakes the body blow, causing Yaj to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Yaj goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
