Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

13 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fabio Villegas! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oppelaar scores with a jab.
It looks like Fabio Villegas has been cut. Oppelaar looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Oppelaar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Villegas is rocked! Villegas is looking for a triangle but Oppelaar pushes his legs off easily.
Oppelaar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Oppelaar landing with the ground and pound. Villegas has momentary wrist control but Oppelaar slips an elbow through the middle. Oppelaar controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Oppelaar is working Villegas over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Villegas being controlled here, momentarily. Oppelaar with a nice head shot there.

Villegas has hold of Oppelaar's hands but Oppelaar slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Oppelaar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Oppelaar scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Villegas is staying active underneath Oppelaar, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Villegas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Oppelaar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Villegas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Oppelaar controlling the action here. Oppelaar working Villegas over with strikes. Oppelaar is nestled in close to Villegas, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Villegas looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Oppelaar lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Oppelaar lands strikes from half guard.

Oppelaar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Oppelaar looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Oppelaar lands a big elbow - Villegas is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Oppelaar!
