Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miyamoto Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele has chosen Cinderella Man as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. George Steele told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 28 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, George Steele!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steele gets a double leg takedown into Musashi's guard.
Steele postures up.
Musashi keeping moving, preventing Steele from controlling successfully.
Musashi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Steele chips away with some ground and pound.
Steele prevents Musashi from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Musashi keeping moving, preventing Steele from controlling successfully.
Musashi wants to get back to his feet but Steele is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Steele is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Musashi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Musashi has escaped and now he's on top!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steele escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Musashi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Musashi is looking to work some ground and pound but Steele has wrist control.

Steele is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Musashi cracks Steele with a solid left hand.
Musashi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Steele is looking for a triangle but Musashi pushes his legs off easily.
Steele trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Steele wants to sweep here but Musashi controlling him for the moment.

Musashi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Steele working for a triangle but Musashi defends it easily.

Musashi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Steele works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Musashi stands up over Steele, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Musashi is looking to work some ground and pound but Steele has wrist control.
Musashi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Steele working for a triangle but Musashi defends it easily.

Steele is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Musashi has his hands clasped together but Steele extends and breaks Musashi's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Steele.
