Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Qasim Barakat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robert Sullivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Qasim Barakat! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barakat connects with a single shot there. Qasim Barakat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some bone on bone action there as Sullivan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Sullivan looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Barakat scores with a nice right hand.
Barakat throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Barakat scores with a kick to the midsection. Sullivan on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Barakat connects with an inside leg kick. Sullivan tries to close the distance and clinch but Barakat swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barakat takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Barakat throws a body kick that misses. Sullivan moves out of range as Barakat throws a body kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sullivan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Barakat feints a counter leg kick. Sullivan has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Barakat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barakat lands a nice shot that snaps Sullivan's head back.
Sullivan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Barakat. That one must have hurt. Sullivan is breathing heavily. Barakat drops Sullivan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sullivan looks back up at him and smiles so Barakat waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Barakat cracks the inside of Sullivan's front leg. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barakat buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Barakat cracks Sullivan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Barakat looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Sullivan seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Barakat throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sullivan. Sullivan tries to clinch but Barakat is having none of it. A slapping body kick lands there for Barakat. Barakat scores with a jab. Sullivan is looking to land body kicks. Sullivan looks up at the clock. Bad move! Barakat lands a right hand from hell, dropping Sullivan. Barakat pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Qasim Barakat! After the fight, Qasim Barakat was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
