Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Butch McDanton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cesar Cueto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDanton comes to the ring accompanied by Solja Boy Tell Um. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Butch McDanton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cesar Cueto!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDanton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
McDanton not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McDanton won't allow Cueto to sweep him here.

McDanton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
McDanton won't allow Cueto to get back to his feet.
McDanton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cueto keeping full guard, as McDanton tries to pass.
Cueto is looking to stand up but McDanton isn't so interested in that idea.
McDanton has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and McDanton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cueto's guard.
McDanton prevents Cueto from getting back to his feet.

McDanton stands and throws Cueto's legs to the side, diving into side control.

McDanton has a hand on Cueto's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Cueto takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Cueto wants to finish this one by submission but McDanton is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cueto.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

McDanton tries to hold on but Cueto postures up.
McDanton is desperately trying to improve his position but Cueto has a good base and remains in mount.
Cueto controlling the pace for now.
Cueto pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
McDanton on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McDanton tries to get out of the position.
McDanton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Cueto takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
McDanton tries to hold on but Cueto postures up.

Cueto trying to control but McDanton is having none of it.
McDanton tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Cueto jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McDanton manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Cueto cracks McDanton with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Cueto lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear McDanton down.
McDanton gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
McDanton tries to get to full guard but Cueto has control of the leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cueto wants to lay and pray for a moment but McDanton keeps working.
McDanton works his way to full guard. Good work.

McDanton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McDanton is trying to keep Cueto in close.
Cueto trying to control the position from guard on top but McDanton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

McDanton is pressing down on Cueto's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cueto is holding on for now.
McDanton prevents Cueto from standing back up.
Cueto is staying active underneath McDanton, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cueto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Cueto is trying to stand back up but McDanton is controlling him
McDanton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cueto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
McDanton is just content to waste time from the top position. Cueto takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

McDanton forces Cueto back against the ropes and clinches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McDanton prevents Cueto from breaking the clinch.

McDanton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

McDanton scores a takedown into full mount!
McDanton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

McDanton stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

McDanton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cueto manages to get back to half guard.

Cueto wants to improve his position but McDanton is controlling well.
Well, if McDanton is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

McDanton has gone for a leg lock! Cueto slips out almost immediately though and dives into McDanton's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Cueto takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
McDanton wants to control but Cueto is keeping busy.
Cueto is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
