Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richie Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Novicar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richie Carter had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rory Novicar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richie Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Rory Novicar!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Carter looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Novicar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Carter is trying to push Novicar away but Novicar has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A head punch on the inside from Novicar fails to land.
Carter is trying to break the clinch but Novicar is controlling him.
Novicar gets through Carter's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Novicar tries to land knees in the clinch but Carter avoids the damage to the body.
Novicar manages to break the clinch.
Novicar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Novicar connects with a crisp jab.
Richie Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Novicar throws a nice inside leg kick.
Carter throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Novicar counters with a leg kick.
Carter fails to land with a series of punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Novicar fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Carter.

Novicar lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Carter backs up against the cage.
Carter is rocked!

Carter gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

During a confident post fight interview, Rory Novicar thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
