And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Audley Barristan!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ben Watson and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twister avoids the head kick by Barristan.
Barristan connects with a leg kick. Twister looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Barristan throws a quick inside leg kick.
We've been hearing reports that Twister has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Twister shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Barristan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Barristan throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.

Twister got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barristan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Twister has managed to get both his arms back between Barristan's legs - danger averted.

Barristan gets his hands free as Twister looks to control.
The referee is taking a good look at Twister as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Barristan!
Twister is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Barristan is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Twister defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Barristan cracks Twister with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Twister from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Barristan is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barristan lands shots from the back.
Twister just trying to survive but Barristan is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Barristan biding his time, looking for the opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barristan controlling the position well here. Twister rolled but Barristan kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Barristan gets his hands free as Twister looks to control.
Barristan scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Twister is looking for a way out.
Barristan trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Twister doesn't escape.
Let's hope that Barristan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Barristan thumps Twister with a low kick.
Twister tries for a takedown but Barristan circles away easily
and Barristan counters with an outside leg kick.
Twister looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Barristan.
Twister tries to clinch but Barristan moves away
and Barristan counters with a big head kick but Twister shrugs it off.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Barristan.
Barristan slaps away a takedown attempt from Twister, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Twister tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Twister misses with a kick to the body.
Barristan fakes the leg kick and cracks Twister in the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Barristan connects with a body shot that sends Twister's belly button to the back.
Barristan lands a lovely overhand right.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Twister on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Twister tries to land a front kick but Barristan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Barristan drops Twister with a beautiful combination! Twister stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Barristan is looking for the KO!


Twister is rocked!


It looks like Takashi Twister has been cut.
Twister has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Barristan.
Oh Twister is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barristan shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Twister takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Barristan sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Twister bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Audley Barristan! Audley Barristan retains his featherweight title!
Audley Barristan really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that On Tap (160Q & Laundry) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
