Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tongo Bongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Cozad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tongo Bongo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lance Cozad!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bongo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bongo showed some decent athleticism there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Well, if Bongo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bongo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cozad for as long as he can get away with.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bongo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cozad with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bongo connects with a nice short shot to Cozad's temple.
Bongo is controlling the pace.

Bongo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bongo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bongo creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Cozad is still in real trouble! Can Bongo finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bongo cracks Cozad with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Bongo immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Cozad is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Bongo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tongo Bongo!
Tongo Bongo opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
