The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Barbossa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A chopping leg kick lands by Barbossa.
Barbossa lands a nice shot that snaps McCracken's head back.

McCracken stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

McCracken misses with a body shot
and Barbossa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
McCracken shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Barbossa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCracken drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barbossa looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barbossa looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Barbossa!
McCracken is looking for a sweep.

McCracken is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Barbossa is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
McCracken throwing hammer fists to the chest of Barbossa. What's that going to do exactly?
McCracken tries to get back to half guard but can't.
McCracken is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Barbossa stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
McCracken takes a swing at Barbossa's ribcage but misses.
McCracken takes one to the side of the head.
McCracken takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Barbossa throws a leg kick but McCracken checks it.
McCracken takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
McCracken drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

McCracken throws a body shot but no joy.
Barbossa defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McCracken.
Geoffrey Barbossa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McCracken gets a takedown into half guard.
Barbossa has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but McCracken is on him like a limpet, forcing Barbossa back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McCracken jumps guard but Barbossa stands there with McCracken around his waist. McCracken gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Barbossa lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops McCracken to his knees! Barbossa keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
