Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Luther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fafnir Amdahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Luther! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fafnir Amdahl! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luther thows a left - swing and a miss! And Amdahl tries to counter it with a takedown but Luther pushes his down on his head and steps out. Luther displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Amdahl. Amdahl looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Luther keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. John Luther has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fafnir Amdahl. Nice takedown defense from Luther. No joy for Amdahl on that attempt. Luther shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Amdahl eats them both and turns towards Luther to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. John Luther seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Luther throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Amdahl feints the counter takedown. Luther misses with a double jab.
Luther loads up on a big right hand but Amdahl slips the punch. Amdahl moves away from the strike by Luther. Amdahl moves out of range of the strikes. Amdahl is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amdahl gets a takedown into half guard. Amdahl looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Amdahl is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Luther doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Amdahl. Amdahl is working for a kimura but Luther is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amdahl looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Luther is not content to let Amdahl control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amdahl decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Luther thows a left - swing and a miss! Amdahl feints the counter takedown. Luther leaves Amdahl with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. No luck for Amdahl with that takedown attempt. Luther lands with a hook. Amdahl tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luther misses with a jab, cross combination.
Amdahl is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Amdahl slips a jab and a cross from Luther.
Luther fails to land with a series of punches.
The fighters circling - Luther throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Amdahl shoots in for a double leg but Luther sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Amdahl shoots in but Luther avoids the takedown attempt easily. Luther misses with the combination.
Luther displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Amdahl. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Luther throws a big shot that misses. Luther misses with a lunging right hand
and Amdahl counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Amdahl. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Luther dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Luther keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Luther falls off balance throwing a combination
and Amdahl counters with a nice double leg into guard. Luther manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Luther throws an overhand right that lands on Amdahl's shoulder, as Amdahl tries to avoid the shot. John Luther is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Amdahl misses with a takedown attempt and Luther counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Luther will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A jab from Luther does it's job there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luther lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Luther slips under a jab. Luther lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Amdahl is rocked! Luther comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Amdahl is still on wobbly legs! Can Luther finish him? Amdahl is breathing heavily. Luther finds Amdahl's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Amdahl flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Luther lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Amdahl will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Luther!
