The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pillman ducks right into an uppercut from Clavette.

Clavette misses with a left hand
and Pillman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Clavette misses the jab.
Pillman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Clavette.
Clavette misses with a straight right.
Pillman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Clavette.
Clavette throws a series of punches but Pillman avoids them all with ease.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Clavette drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and Pillman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Clavette swings widly with a right hand
letting Pillman counter with a right hand.
Pillman walks straight into a right hand from Clavette - that's dropped him! Clavette jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Pillman from any more punishment! Pillman complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Raoul Clavette!
