Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steven Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renan Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.
Steven Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Palhares.
Palhares connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Palhares tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Palhares will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Palhares isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jackson stacks Palhares on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jackson!
Palhares takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
