Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Luzhin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luzhin comes to the cage accompanied by The time has come.... Nikolai Luzhin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nikolai Luzhin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Brown!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Luzhin.
Brown misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Luzhin counters with an inside leg kick.
Luzhin plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Brown throws a low kick, looking for Luzhin's leg but Luzhin calmly moves out of range.
Luzhin pushes Brown away with a front kick.
Luzhin clinches up against the cage.
Brown prevents a body shot from Luzhin.
Brown has picked Luzhin up - he's going for a ride! Brown dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Luzhin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Luzhin holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Luzhin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Luzhin.
Luzhin looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Brown throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Luzhin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luzhin seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Brown sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Luzhin takes one on the button.
Brown tries to land a front kick but Luzhin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Brown misses with a kick to the body.
Luzhin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brown.
Brown fails with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brown tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Luzhin is able to avoid easily.
Brown moves into range and connects with a jab.
Brown avoids a kick to the body.
Brown throws out a counter right but Luzhin avoids it with no problem.
Nice body kick there by Brown.
Brown looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It looked like Luzhin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Luzhin misses with a body kick.
Nice cross by Brown.
Brown throws out a loose jab but Luzhin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Luzhin tests Brown's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Luzhin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Luzhin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Brown throws a half hearted mid kick.
It looked like Luzhin was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Brown.
Luzhin checks a low kick from Brown.
Luzhin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Brown momentarily.
Luzhin misses with a few strikes there.
Brown takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brown misses the body punch
and Luzhin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Luzhin scores with a nice strike.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Luzhin.
Brown is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Luzhin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brown shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Luzhin appears to be looking for a big counter.
Brown's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Luzhin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Brown scrambles back to his feet.
Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Luzhin drops Brown with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Brown looks back up at him and smiles so Luzhin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Brown is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A slow jab from Brown misses its intended target.
Brown is still on wobbly legs! Can Luzhin finish him?
A chopping leg kick lands by Luzhin.
Brown drops his hands momentarily. Luzhin doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Brown staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Brown doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nikolai Luzhin!
After the fight, Nikolai Luzhin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
