Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sudo Nym (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Genia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Genia will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Genia fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nym, pushing him back against the cage.

Nym jumps into guard, dragging Genia to the mat.
We've been hearing good reports from Nym's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Nym really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Nym avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Genia throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Genia is pushing down on Nym's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nym is fighting to maintain full guard but Genia has managed to sneak the leg through.

Genia thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nym's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Genia is looking for a kimura but Nym is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Genia to get the leverage.

Genia throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Nym slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Genia trying to control the position from guard on top but Nym is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nym bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Genia's guard.

Genia working for a triangle but Nym defends it easily.
Nym postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nym keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Genia's head.

Nym might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nym loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Genia has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Nym off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Genia darts in and clinches Nym up against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Genia as the two fighters clinch.
Nym is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Genia is defending well for now.
Nym goes for a takedown in the clinch but Genia prevents it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nym struggles to land a body shot inside as Genia controls his hands.
Genia lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Genia lands a good knee to the midsection. Nym won't want to take too many of those.
Nym is breathing heavily.

Genia escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Genia feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nym's calf.
Genia misses with a low kick.
Genia goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nym takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Nym counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Genia throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Nym has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Genia.
Nym darts in looking for a takedown but Genia gets double underhooks and turns Nym into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Genia counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sudo Nym. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nym closes the distance and clinches up with Genia, looking for a takedown. Nym pushes Genia against the cage but Genia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Genia throws a body kick that misses.

Genia wants to slow Nym down by chopping away at his legs.
It looked like Nym was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Nym clinches.
Nym goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Genia lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Genia tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Nym lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Genia.
Genia throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nyms head.
A nice left hand lands by Genia.

Nym is rocked!
Genia unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Nym! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Genia is unloading with more strikes now! Nym drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Will Genia really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Executioner $20 4 sale logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
